MRSSA Meeting Minutes

Old Business

1. MRSSA Financial Report
   Mark Bortz gave the financial report – Balance is currently $6551.27. Outstanding bills include $300 reimbursement for NSSA reps travel and Waterhawks for 2002 regional tournament.
2. NSSA Report
   
   1. Scoring Changes - Larry had e-mailed the scoring changes (which appeared in red) to the MRSSA reps. since there are many changes, he asked that each member review all the changes and refer to him for questions.
   2. Nationals Registration forms - Due by July 15th (no exceptions)
3. By-Law Committee Presentation
   
   1. By-law changes
      Various changes were presented by the By-Law committee, these changes and many others were discussed and brought up for approval by Bud Ruhl and seconded by Bruce Berg - A vote was taken to accept the changes, and it was unanimous by all parties in attendance. The new By-Law document will be distributed to the MRSSA reps by Dave Nemec with the agreed upon changes.
      
   2. LOC Agreement
      The members presented various changes in attendance, these changes were discussed and brought up for approval by Bruce Berg and seconded by Mark Bortz - A vote was taken to accept the changes, and it was unanimous by all parties in attendance. The new LOC Agreement will be distributed to the MRSSA reps by Dave Nemec with the agreed upon changes.
4. 2004 Tournament Bid
   River Rats submitted a verbal bid. Five Seasons submitted a bid via e-mail. Each team discussed site changes and improvements.
   A silent vote was taken and the bid was awarded to Five Seasons Ski Team.
5. Driver Clinic Update
   Ed Torres and Paul Newcomb have the weekend of 18th scheduled for a driver and safety clinic in Albert Lea, MN. Mike Johnson will be distributing more information on the specifics. Information will also be posted on the MRSSA Web Site.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Selection of 2003 Officials
   Due to an overwhelming number of volunteer judges/scorers a vote was taken to determine who would preside over the 2003 Regional Tournament.
   CHEIG JUDGE: Barb Taugner
   SCORING JUDGES: Scott Alander, Jeff Henke, Duane Snow, Jan Thomas, Jane Henke (Brad Springbrom - alternate judge if needed)
   CHIEF SCORER: Barb Snow
   SCORER: Brad Springbom, Larry West
   TIMER: Chuck Thomas
   SAFETY: Paul Newcomb
   
2. Other
   E-Mail Distribution list to be posted on the MRSSA Website. This list will allow us the opportunity to send an e-mail to those who wish to receive them. Mark Bortz will be sending out instructions on how to add your e-mail address to the list. (In the interim, I hope these meeting minutes found their way to everyone via e-mail)
