Ski Motion Driver / Safety / Doubles Clinic 2005
Ski Motion 2005 will be held in White Bear Lake, MN. You will be partaking in this event along with several other ski teams in the region and over 30 skiers from Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, etc.
Drivers Overview:
Saturday, May 21st @ 8:00am we will meet in the hotel pool
area (Hotel information below). We
will then do the classroom and written portion of the driverÕs clinic. From there, we will drive one mile to
Goose Lake where we will start our on-water testing. *** If your team is sending a driver, they are Required
to also send skiers ****
We will be have a fire and a hot tub at the ski site to
help keep the skiers warm!
Safety Overview:
Friday, May 20th @ 6:00pm we will meet in the hotel pool area (hotel information below). We will then begin the classroom portion of the safety clinic. All drivers who are NOT safety certified should plan to attend the Friday evening session and Saturday afternoon session, so you will be ready to do the driverÕs test on Saturday.
Saturday, May 21st @ 2:00pm we will meet in the hotel pool area. We will then begin the water/pool portion of the safety clinic (Swimsuit required)
Doubles Overview:
Saturday, May 21st throughout the day, Bruce Berg will be assisting doubles couples with dry land & water practice. The doubles clinic will be held at the ski site and will be done in conjunction with the driverÕs clinic. Doubles couples, please come ready to ski.
Hotel Accommodations:
White Bear Lake Country Inn has
generously offered the use of their pool and a conference rooms for the
safety/driving instruction and testing. In addition to this, they have also
reserved a block of rooms for those of you who might like to make a weekend of
this or will need to stay overnight.
The rooms are easy to reserve by calling 800-528-1234 and requesting a room
reserved under the title ÒSki MotionÓ. The rooms are available for the special
pricing of $59.95/night. The instructors will also be staying at this hotel for

Meals/Lodging/Entertainment:
Meals and lodging will be
complimentary for all instructors (we will also reimburse for
gas/mileage). For those partaking
in the clinics, lunch will be provided (we will be grilling at the lake. Saturday evening we will have a section
of a local restaurant reserved for anyone that would like to dine with
friends. Saturday evening we will
have evening festivities planned for all who are interested.
Registration:
Each club will be required to register. Slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Registration forms need to be filled out and received by May 1st. There is a registration form for drivers and safety participants – please fill out and return all that apply.

Goose Lake is located in White Bear Lake, MN along Hwy 61. The White Bear Country Inn is located in White Bear Lake, MN along Hwy 61.
Coming from the North:
Take 35 South – 694 East – 61 North.
To get to the lake, take a left at the light on White Bear Avenue/Hoffman Road (you will see the Little Bar). The lake will be on your left. (Hotel is on Hwy 61 on right hand side after you go through town).
Coming from the South:
Take 52N or 35 North – 494 East (turns into 694) – Hwy 61 North
To get to the lake, take a left at the light on White Bear Avenue/Hoffman Road (you will see the Little Bar). The lake will be on your left. (Hotel is on Hwy 61 on right hand side after you go through town).
Coming from the East:
Take 94 West – 694 North – Hwy 61 North
To get to the lake, take a left at the light on White Bear Avenue/Hoffman Road (you will see the Little Bar). The lake will be on your left. (Hotel is on Hwy 61 on right hand side after you go through town).
Coming from the West:
Take 90 East – 35 North – 494 East (turns into 694) – Hwy 61 North
To get to the lake, take a left at the light on White Bear Avenue/Hoffman Road (you will see the Little Bar). The lake will be on your left. (Hotel is on Hwy 61 on right hand side after you go through town).
From Hotel to Lake:
Take 61 South (left out of the parking lot) – Turn Right at the light for White Bear Ave/Hoffman Road (you will see the Little Bar). The lake will be on your left.
